The Bosch SpeedBox 1.2 lets you ditch the speed limiter on your e - bike. For an accurate view of speed and all riding data while on the move, we suggest the SpeedBox 1.2 B.Tuning for Bosch. You can check the real values right on your phone's display using our SpeedBox App.
**How It Works**: After installing the tuning, when you first turn on your e - bike, enter the menu and set the wheel circumference. Remember, activate or deactivate the tuning when the e - bike is stationary, not while riding.
To activate the SpeedBox 1.2 tuning, briefly activate the WALK assist function by holding down the “ - ” button on your e - bike’s control unit. Your e - bike display will show 3.5 km/h (2.2 mph), and you can now ride up to 35 km/h. You can set any speed limit up to 99 kph, but to avoid error codes, we recommend not going over 35 km/h. To deactivate, just activate the WALK assist again in the same way. The display will show 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph), and the speed limit will reset to 25 km/h.
Even if your e - bike doesn't have the WALK assist function, you can activate/deactivate tuning by pressing the - + - + buttons. You can set the max speed limit by switching modes from TURBO mode three levels down and then three levels up: eMTB - TOUR+ - ECO - TOUR+ - eMTB - TURBO. The actual speed limit will be shown, and you can switch the electric assistance's max speed by briefly activating the WALK assist or turning the rear wheel 360°. The last limit will be saved after 15 seconds of inactivity.
After your ride, keep the bike on until the display shows 0.0 km/h. Don't remove the display to lock the bike until the 'countdown' is over.
**Assembly**: We use original connectors for easy installation and proper connection. We've also got detailed instructions and videos to help. If you have any issues, just contact us. If you're installing on a new bike, ride it for at least 10 km before activating the tuning.
**Important**: Connect the male - female connectors in the direction of the lock. Don't rotate them during connection.
**Manual**: Find detailed installation info here.
**Warning**: Using a modified e - bike with SpeedBox on public roads may be illegal in some countries. The manufacturer isn't responsible for damages. These e - bikes can only be used on private property at your own risk. Using SpeedBox may void your e - bike's warranty. We suggest using safety features and protective gear, not updating the e - bike's firmware, and not exceeding 35 km/h. When stopping briefly, keep a foot on the pedal. For longer stops, let the countdown start. After a long ride, the countdown may take a few minutes, and don't remove the display until it's done.

Hey there! Here's how to use your Bosch SpeedBox 1.2. First, after installing the tuning, when you turn on your e - bike for the first time, go into the menu and set the wheel circumference of your bike. And always remember, only activate or deactivate the tuning when the bike is not moving.
To start using the tuning, press and hold the “ - ” button on your e - bike's control unit to briefly activate the WALK assist. The display will show 3.5 km/h, and you can then speed up to 35 km/h. You can set your own speed limit up to 99 kph, but it's better not to go over 35 km/h to avoid problems.
If your bike doesn't have the WALK assist, just press the - + - + buttons to turn the tuning on or off. You can set the max speed by switching modes from TURBO down and then up as described. The speed limits are related to the numbers on the display, like 2.5 km/h on the display means 25 km/h limit.
When you finish your ride, leave the bike on until it shows 0.0 km/h. Don't take the display off until the 'countdown' is finished.
For installation, it's easy because we use original connectors. We also have instructions and videos to help. If you're putting it on a new bike, ride it for 10 km first before activating the tuning.
Here are some important things to note: Connect the connectors in the right direction and don't rotate them. Using this modified e - bike on public roads might be illegal in some places, so use it only on private property at your own risk. It may also void your e - bike's warranty. Wear safety gear, don't update the firmware, and try not to go faster than 35 km/h. When you stop, keep a foot on the pedal for short breaks and let the countdown start for longer ones. After a long ride, the countdown can take a few minutes.
