The GuideRail breaks away from the traditional platform hitch rack carrying style. Using dual load arms, it completely avoids frame or fork contact. This allows for asymmetric bike loading to prevent handlebar interference and creates a simple look that blends well with most vehicles. It minimizes plastic parts while maintaining the same capacity and reliability as the MonoRail Family. The GuideRail can carry bikes up to 60 lbs per tray, tires up to 3” wide, and wheelbases up to 55”, handling almost everything including most E - bikes. It comes with a 10mm square link chain for stress - free bike security.

Blister Review Rockymounts GuideRail

Using the Rocky Mounts GuideRail is easy. First, make sure your vehicle has a 1.25” or 2” Class II or higher hitch receiver. Attach the rack to the hitch securely. You can load your bikes onto the rack asymmetrically to avoid handlebar interference. The rack secures the bikes by only contacting the tires, so there's no need to worry about frame or fork damage. Each tray can carry a bike up to 60 lbs. If you want to expand to carry 3 bikes, you can add an add - on (2' only), but each bike can then weigh up to 45 lbs. When you're done using the rack, it can fold flat against the vehicle or tilt down 30 degrees to let you access the hatch. There's a 10mm square link chain included to keep your bikes safe. Just wrap it around your bikes and the rack. Remember, this rack isn't for bicycles with fenders. Also, if you have a cargo van, you'll need to do a fit check. Sometimes, you might need an 8' Hitch Extension depending on your vehicle's features. To keep the rack in good shape, regularly check the hitch connection and the anti - wobble system. Clean it with a mild soap and water. In Spring 2024, you can buy a ramp for $99.95 to make bike loading even easier.
